It is always a good idea to keep your MySQL databases’ tables optimized. This can help with server load and website loading speed.

Thanks to phpMyAdmin (available with cPanel and other hosting control panels), optimizing your database tables if very easy!

To perform the optimization, log in to phpMyAdmin and select the database that contains the tables you want to optimize.

A list with all the database’s tables will appear. Tick the tables you want to optimize, or if you want to optimize them all, just click Check All.

Now click on the “With selected” dropdown menu and choose Optimize table. This will execute the OPTIMIZE TABLE SQL query on the selected tables and they will be updated and optimized. Click here to see a screenshot

It’s as easy as that!
