Well, it has been a very busy start to the year here @ TheWebTaylor. We have been inundated with enquiries, mock-ups, website updates and BIG web development projects. Due to the high workload we have had recently, we have been neglecting our blog and social media outlets for quite some time now. So we have now made a (late) new years resolution to try and keep up to date and keep you all informed of what is going on within TheWebTaylor and the Web Design sector, as well as posting some helpful guides to spread our knowledge across the web.
Our biggest project so far in 2012 is the design and build of an e-commerce website that will be selling spare heating/boiler parts. The online shop will have around 12,000 products, secure shopping and checkout, a “live” mini cart that will enable users to track their spend whilst browsing the site, a members section that will allow users to track a view previous orders as well as edit their personal information, and the ability to be expanded into other ranges of products. This project is still in development and we can reveal more details once it is finished.
Another development for 2012 was the updated design of our website and a slight revamp of our web design packages. It was January, a new year and a new venture, and though our previous design was a cut above many other web design agencies. We still thought we could do better, and that we did. The new design is easier on the eye, and draws attention to all of the important information. We also believe that it is easier to navigate around and get to the page you want! We have also made some changes on our web design packages; hosting is now included with both bespoke and enterprise packages, and you can now get a free .co.uk domain name with our starter web package. We are also working on some brand new packages that will be built using templates to really keep the costs down for those starter businesses… more will be revealed soon!
So all in all 2012 has got off to a great start and we have more work in the pipeline which is of course extremely good. If you have any questions about us or our services, we would love to hear from you either fill out our contact form or call us on 02392 123 538
